Customs officials at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) seized party drugs worth R48 crore from two passengers who were going to Johannesburg via Nairobi. The recovered drug was reportedly methaqualone. “The passengers were scheduled to travel by a Kenya airways flight. At the departure hall of Terminal 3, they were intercepted and interrogated at length. Their baggage was checked and a powdered drug was recovered,” said a senior customs official. The two have been detained.

“We seized 60.18kg drug from the duo,” the official added.
