Former chief minister Mayawati on Sunday said her life and struggle would inspire girls and at least ‘four daughters of Uttar Pradesh’ would become Mayawatis who would chase the mafiosi and anti-social elements out of Uttar Pradesh. Her comment at the party’s Brahmin bhaichara rally here on Sunday appeared to be a riposte to state urban development minister Azam Khan who, while speaking at a programme in Ghaziabad recently, had urged the girls not to be inspired by Mayawati.

“Do not become Mayawati,” he had said.

Reacting to Khan’s comment, Mayawati said he was a “loud mouth” who “gave protection to criminal elements”.

She urged the party cadre to propagate the Bahujan Samaj Party ideology among the upper castes and minorities.

At the same time, she also told them to remain alert about the opposition’s tricks and not get taken in by the central government’s populist schemes like the food security ordinance.

She also told them not to believe in what she described as the anti-Bahujan Samaj Party news flashed by television channels and the print media.
