Singh was speaking after visiting the Mahabodhi Temple, where serial blasts took place on Sunday, along with leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha Arun Jaitley, deputy leader of the opposition in the Rajya Sabha Ravi Shankar Prasad and party leaders from Bihar. They saw the spots where the bombs exploded and offered prayers. They later went to the hospital to meet the two injured monks.
Condemning the attack, Singh said the BJP would expect a detailed inquiry with full coordination among the different investigating agencies. “We expect the Centre to act firmly but it has instead brought two apex agencies, the IB and CBI, face-to-face in its own interest. Misuse of investigating agencies should stop. It should not have happened as it lowers the morale of the agencies,” he said.
