On the mechanical front, the 125T houses the same 124.6cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder and air-cooled engine with a four valve head. However, the 125T makes slightly less power, 12.3bhp at 9000rpm. Peak torque remains a constant at 1.1kgm on the T, now available at 6500rpm, at 500rpm earlier in the powerband than on the ST. A 5-speed, 1-down, 4-up shifting gearbox also remains. What’s more, the Discover 125T gets a set of gas-charged shock absorbers at rear, contrary to the Nitrox monoshock sold with the 125ST.
The Discover 125T is available in two trims, a drum brake variant priced at Rs. 52,500 while the front disc brake equipped bike is priced at Rs. 55,500 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
