“There was the proposal to convert NH-24 (Delhi-Dasna-Hapur) from four to six-lane. But as there is a lot of congestion on the road and due to the growing traffic, even a six-lane highway will not solve the purpose. Therefore, the proposed six lanes should be changed to eight lanes. It will help commuters of Delhi and other neighbouring states. The cost of project can be estimated around Rs. 350 crore,” read Yadav’s letter.
The 22-km four-lane stretch is one of the most congested national highway corridors in the country.
