He contacted Om Sai Agencies and requested the agency people to replace the water bottle but it refused.
After Manoj moved the forum, the owner of Om Sai Agencies said that he was not responsible for any manufacturing defect in the water bottle. He averred that the complainant neither came to his shop to return the said bottle nor he had refused to take back the bottle.
The Baddi company said that the complaint was a bundle of lies and he had filed a false and frivolous complaint only.
In its ruling, the consumer forum agreed to the contentions of the complainant that there was deficiency of service on part of GC Beverages and ordered the company to give Rs. 10,000 as compensation to the complainant along with Rs. 5,000 as litigation costs.
