He started his music career back in 1998 with Salman Khan’s Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. The following years saw composer Himesh Reshammiya team up with Khan on many projects like Hello Brother (1999), Tere Naam (2003) and Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya (2005). His last project with Salman was the 2011 hit Bodyguard. However, speculation about a rift between the two started when composers Sajid-Wajid started working on many Salman starrers.

But the latest we’ve heard is that two are uniting again. Himesh will compose the music for Salman’s upcoming film, Kick, which is being produced and directed by Sajid Nadiadwala. The film is scheduled to be Salman’s Eid release for 2014.“Both Salman and Sajid are very happy to have Himesh back on board,” says an insider.

The film will go on the floors next week, in London. “Himesh has already started work on the film. Since he’s worked with Salman before, he knows his preferences. Sajid is also relaxed about the entire thing.”

Of late, Himesh has worked on many films starring Akshay Kumar (Khiladi 786, 2012; OMG Oh My God!, 2012, Special Chhabis and the upcoming, Boss) and Ajay Devgn (in 2012 films Bol Bachchan and Son of Sardar) too. But apparently, no love has been lost between him and Salman. “There’s no problem between the two. Both of them have a lot of respect for each other,” adds the insider. Sajid couldn’t be reached for comment.
