BJP state chief Narendra Singh Tomar on Tuesday urged party workers to gear up for coming assembly polls in the state to defeat the Congress for the third consecutive term. The Congress has lost assembly elections thrice in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat, and now it’s the turn to lose election in Madhya Pradesh for which the party workers must work hard, he asserted.

Taking a dig at the Congress leaders’ collective appearance now- a- days in the public to show unity, Tomar said the Congress is struggling with internal feuds. Its leaders were never united in past nor will they be in future, he added.

The BJP chief was addressing the meeting of the party workers here.

He accused ex- chief minister Digvijay of misleading the public on the BJP government’s unique scheme to provide wheat at Re 1 per kilogram to the poor by stating it is supported from the Centre.

If the Centre has formulated such scheme then why the Congress governments in Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh are not executing it for the benefit of the poor, he quipped.

He charged Digvijay with heading a dirty tricks department in the Congress practicing bad politics and now propaganda is made to malign the image of BJP.

Earlier talking to the presspersons, he said the Congress was misusing the constitutional posts for personal interest.

He was responding to a query over the Congress putting pressure on the governor for reconvening the assembly session for debate on no- confidence motion.
