BJP leader LK Advani on Thursday criticised the Centre for its failure to protect people against terrorists and went back to the line of zero tolerance for terrorism and violence to be advocated by the saffron party if it returned to power. Asking the people to throw out the UPA government, Advani said he was expecting to see “spectacular” results for his party in the coming elections.

Advani was in Tamil Nadu’s Salem district to pay homage to BJP district leader Ramesh, who had been hacked to death outside the BJP office last month.

He took the ocassion to thank the Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa for constituting a special team to investigate the killing.
