South Korean tech giant Samsung is speculated to be developing a flip phone which will run on the Android OS.

The comeback version of the flip phone is called the W789, featuring two screens, one on the cover and another on the inside and come in a light-purple coloured shell with a retro numerical keyboard for dialing, Stuff.co.nz reports.

The report said that the device's two screens measure 3.3 inches and have 320x480 pixel resolutions and the device runs on a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and has 8 gigabytes of storage running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

The device is only listed on Samsung's Chinese website and the company has not announced plans to sell it elsewhere, the report added.
