However, from next week, noted Indian-American music composer, Karsh Kale will take over the show’s reins from her. EDM artiste, Nucleya, will also join Karsh in this pursuit of the right sounds to create new tracks.
When asked why Sneha had to leave mid-way, the channel remained evasive. “We wanted to surprise the viewers. For us, the show has been one big experiment and we want to keep that spirit alive. Karsh and Nucleya are accomplished musicians and we’re confident that they will click with the audience,” says Chandrashekhar L, vice president, programming, commercial & music content, MTV Viacom 18.
Sneha has been part of five episodes of season two, for which she travelled across the country to compose different songs based on a variety of themes. “In the next four episodes, Karsh will explore the theme of rain in West Bengal and healing in Dharamshala among others. The final episode will focus on the subject of strength, for which he will go to Kerala,” informs Chandrashekhar, adding that with the increasing popularity of collaborative travel-music shows (The Dewarists and the upcoming, SoundTrek), keeping the content exciting is their main challenge. “But I’m glad that the genre is growing. It’s pushing us harder. Most other shows put together two or more established musicians, but in our show, we are not looking at collaborating with trained artistes.”
