Looks like Akshay Kumar had a blast from the past while shooting for his next, the action-comedy Boss, in Delhi. The actor got nostalgic as he was working very close to his childhood home. A source from the production house reveals, “A major part of the movie is shot in Bangkok and Delhi, and both cities have a close association with Akshay’s
life. He grew up in Delhi and learnt martial arts in Bangkok. So, he has a big emotional connect with the movie.”

Ask Akshay about this and he says, “Delhi always brings back a flood of memories for me, since I have grown up there. It’s a very emotional feeling when I visit my old house. That’s where I spent my entire childhood.”

According to the source, Akshay got emotional on the Delhi sets. “We were shooting for a scene in Chandni Chowk, which is some 200 meters away from Akshay’s childhood home. In fact, the house is still standing, and some of his relatives even reside there. Akshay wanted a glimpse of his old house as he hadn’t visited it for a few years. But it was impossible for him to visit in the daytime as he would get mobbed. So one early morning, at around 4 am, Akshay drove to his house, stayed there for 30 minutes and reminisced his childhood days.”
