Do you seek Saif’s advice when it comes to relationships?Yes, sometimes I do, and at times I don’t. Being 10 years older than I am, he has seen the world a lot. I like hearing his viewpoints as a man. I can always talk to my mother too, but she talks from a woman’s point of view.
What advice has he given you? He always says, ‘Live your life and do what makes you happy. You are a sensible girl and you have always made sensible decisions, so I trust you.’ He likes Kunal a lot.
Does he want you to get married? He is never the one to push me towards marriage. In fact, he says, ‘You shouldn’t even consider marriage until you are 40 or something.’ He feels I should wait for 10 years.
Seriously?Exactly; that’s his advice.
How have things changed since Saif got married? They (Saif and Kareena Kapoor) were together for five years before they got married, so I can’t say shaadi ke baad yeh changes aa gaye hai (these are the changes that have come about post the wedding). They make for a great couple. She is very supportive too, for instance when it comes to things like commitment, if Kareena says that she will be somewhere, she’ll be there. If bhai (Saif) says he will be there, you have no idea whether he will come or not (laughs). It’s useful to have her (Kareena) around. She is far more dependable and reliable.
Has she settled in to the family completely now?Kareena is great fun and comfortable in her own skin. Her priorities have always been her relationships and work, and I respect that.
