CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta said: “The country is facing a massive disaster and economic tsunami because of the reckless policies of the government.” JD(U) chief Sharad Yadav said a remedy to the problem would be to make irrigation available in all parts of the country which would ultimately help boost economic growth.
Shailender Kumar of Samajwadi Party said the country has been facing economic crisis since UPA-I and that he feared the repeat of the 1991 situation.“We wish that they (government) get wisdom and all goes well. We will continue to support them,” he said.
BSP member Bali Ram said bringing white paper on black money would not help in reducing poverty just as bringing FDI did not reduce inflation.
