The instant photo messaging application is now processing 350 million images, or ‘snaps', per day, up from around 200 million in June said CEO Evan Spiegel.

Speaking at the technology conference TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco on Monday September 9 Spiegel revealed the increase in the daily popularity of the application and also announced the release of SnapChat Micro --  a new application for the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch, which will be available when the wearable tech device begins rolling out around the world on September 25.

Snapchat lets users capture moments of their lives on film and then share these images with selected friends, these images are then deleted from the receiver's phone after a certain number of seconds as specified by the sender.
