He said that an industrial model township (IMT) was being set up in Faridabad to expedite industrial growth, besides, YMCA Institute of Engineering had been given the status of university of science and technology. He said that projects costing Rs. 700 crore were being implemented in Faridabad under Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JNNURM) and there was also a proposal of Rs. 495 crore under the second phase of the mission. Similarly, the Delhi Metro rail had reached upto YMCA chowk and now it was being extended to Ballabgarh.
