Gurgaon MP Rao Inderjit Singh will not make any political announcement on September 23, while celebrating “shaheedi diwas” of his grandfather Rao Tula Ram, one of the key leaders of the Indian rebellion of 1857, in Rewari.
Talking to Hindustan Times over phone, Rao said he had no plans to make any important announcement on September 23, as it was celebrated as “shaheedi diwas” of his grandfather Rao Tula Ram. He said that the celebration would remain a simple affair.

Notably, Rao had been criticising the state chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for past more than six months for making “uneven” development in the state.

Rao had recently hit news headlines over demanding probe into Vadra-DLF land deals.

On March 4, Rao had floated a non-political outfit tittled “Haryana Insaaf Manch” (HIM) during a rally at Pataudi village of Gurgaon parliamentary constituency. At the time of announcement, he claimed that the HIM would work as a platform to raise the voice of regional biasness against the state Congress regime.

Ever since his open rebellion against the chief minister, political pundits have been guessing his next move of floating a political outfit, and it came in public domain when a public notice appearing in some newspapers inviting objections, if any, to the registration of his party, Haryana Insaaf Congress.

His younger daughter Bharti Rao has been appointed as the president of the party.

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Sunday had praised the contribution of Rao Tula Ram struggle in 1857 revolt, in his Rewari ex-servicemen rally.
