The body of an 8-year-old boy, who was killed in the terror attack on a shopping mall in Kenya’s capital Nairobi, was brought to Raja Bhoj Airport from Mumbai on Wednesday.

The body was taken to Lalitpur for the last rites. Priyanshu, son of Manoj Jain, was shot dead by terrorists at Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi on Saturday. Priyanshu’s mother Mukta Jain and his 12-year-old sister Purvi were injured in the attack.

Manoj, who is originally from Lalitpur district, works in Bank of Baroda in Nairobi.

The body was brought to Mumbai from Nairobi on Tuesday night.

“I never thought that I would take the body of my son,” Manoj said. “It is very sad moment for my family. My daughter and wife are also injured, though there are now out of danger.” He sought strong action against the terrorists.

Mukta and her daughter Purvi were still in shock and could barely speak. “I cannot forget such a horrible incident, they have killed my son, God will punish them,” said Mukta.
