Volkswagen is all set to launch its Vento saloon with the 1.2 turbo petrol engine currently seen in the Polo GT TSI.
Volkswagen discontinued the Polo 1.6 petrol model earlier this year and launched the Polo GT TSI. The Vento 1.6 petrol could also see the same fate. The 1.2 turbo petrol engine puts out 103bhp and 17.84kgm of torque. The seven-speed DSG 'box will also make its way to the Vento TSI saloon. The combination of the 1.2 motor with the DSG transmission is likely to make the car more fuel efficient as well.

The TSI engine will substantially increase the appeal of the car as it will add on the fun-to-drive factor. It remains to be seen if Volkswagen gives the paddle shifters to the Vento TSI.

There are no changes expected on the outside save for the GT badging.
