Channel 4's show Sex Box, which has been labelled as 'weird' and 'awkward', has become a relative hit after it pulled in an impressive 900,000 viewers, a report said. The controversial show has managed to grab a 5.7% share of the total viewing audience, Metro.co.uk reported. But, the new television show which features couples having sex in a sound-proof and opaque box in a studio, wasn't appreciated by many as they flocked to Twitter to share their bemusement.

One of the viewers wrote: "Sex box is the weirdest thing ever but I want to watch it forever".

Another tweet said: the show is very "awkward".
