Stating this road as a life line of the entire Malwa region, Dhillon said that this project would include 68 kilometer stretch from Sector-38 Chandigarh to Ludhiana via Kharar, which would be converted into 6 lane.
Dhillon further informed that under the dynamic leadership of chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and visionary guidance of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, Punjab is all set to become the state, having best road connectivity in the country.
He said that 175 KM road from Sambhu Border–Jalandhar with the cost of Rs. 1500 crore, 44 KM from Bhogpur-Mukerian with Rs. 300 crore, 102 KM from Pathankot to Amritsar with Rs. 705 crore and 78 KM from Ludhiana to Talwandi worth Rs. 479 crore have also been under construction.
Dhillon said that SAD-BJP Government was committed for the overall development of the state and in future more road construction projects would be started for the public convenience.
