In a bid to reach the mass market during the festive season, domestic handset maker Karbonn on Tuesday launched four 2G and 3G-enabled smartphones in the Rs. 5,500-7,500 range.

"With money-savings being the in-word now, this festive range from Karbonn is aimed to bring in a completely novel vista of gifting for your loved ones," the company said in a statement.

The company said it is looking to augment its market share with the mass-market smartphone range in this festive season where volume sales are greater.

"Today the mass phone market is one of the most significant growth drivers of the industry, and it is this market that we are targeting with our new smartphone range," Karbonn executive director Shashin Devsare said.

Karbonn said the mass-reach smartphone range offers the consumers essential mobility solutions like good display screen, better battery life and extendable memory storage at an affordable price.
