He said the BJP would be routed out from the state as it had lost its image in the masses due to its anti-people policies and scandals that had rocked the state.
Mahajan said the Congress was united under the joint leaderships of chief minister Virbhadra Singh and state Congress chief Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Both were working in unison for taking the party forward to manage victory for the party in the next general elections.
He claimed that the party was ready for the next elections and workers had already started visiting the villages to tell the people about the progressive policies and programmes of the government.
The Congress leader alleged that the BJP campaign was based on falsehood and people would teach them a lesson in the coming elections.
Talking about the Hamirpur seat, he said it would be the major agenda of the party and whosoever be the party candidate he would win the seat with a thumping majority as people of the area were upset and aggrieved with sitting MP Anurag Thakur. He said Thakur had done nothing for the people and had spent most of the time in taking part in cricket-related activities.
He said the Food Security Bill of the central government would be helpful for the common man and it would be on the major agenda of the party during the next elections.
Mahajan justified the registration of cases against the BJP leaders adding that these cases were registered only after full verification of the complaints. He said the Congress government in the state would not allow those who spoiled the basic structure of the state to remain in active politics.
