Singh said the process of creating the facility is in final stage and being tested.
He said, using this service, consumers may register their complaints to the respective Discom, the DHBVN or the UHBVN.
As and when the system will receive a complaint of a consumer it will send it to the concerned official by locating the account number given in the SMS.
The system will generate an SMS acknowledging the receipt of complaint and this will be sent to the complainant informing it about the tentative time of redressal, based on the already laid standards of performance, he said.
To avail this facility, registration of mobile phone numbers with the Discoms is necessary, he added.
