In 2008, the Congress had secured 40.3% votes and had 43 members elected to the assembly while the BJP had won 23 seats and its vote share was 36.3%. According to the survey, the popularity of Sheila Dikshit is at its lowest since she became CM in 1998. Dikshit said she does not rely on such surveys.
“I am working hard and so is the party. Let’s see what happens,” she told Hindustan Times. Delhi BJP chief Vijay Goel said there was a month to go to the elections and the BJP would get more seats than predicted.
“We will educate people about the Congress’ misrule. We will also tell them that the AAP can never form the government and a hung assembly is not in the public interest,” Goel said.
