The problem of stray animals continues to haunt the residents of the royal city. Turning down the claims of municipal corporation and district administration to tackle the situation city dwellers have alleged that no initiative has been taken to combat the issue. The increasing population of stray animals, including cows, bulls and dogs, has not only worried the locals but commuters also face difficulties as stray cattle roam on the streets affecting the traffic flow.

Stray animals especially bulls could be seen standing on the middle of national highways posing life risk to passers-by. People also face harrowing time while crossing these animals safely.
On Wednesday, two giant bulls locked horns on the road blocking the traffic for more than an hour near Lakar market.

People either stood at safer places or took alternative routes to reach their destinations. Gau Sewa Dal was called on the spot to catch the animals.
