According to the police, he interacted closely with Salem and Dosa and showed keen interest in Dawood's illegal enterprises, especially the drug business. The inputs received from the duo reportedly convinced Bhola that he could succeed in the illegal drug trade.
The SSP said the interrogation also revealed that Bhola's contacts in Canada were sending ICE to Australia, primarily through air cargo. The drug would be mixed with banana powder to avoid detection. Other methods of concealing contraband included false cavities in containers, food product boxes etc.
Meanwhile, sources said the names of some police officials who had visited Canada-based kabaddi players had started figuring in the case.
