The maverick actor will be seen in the Capital for the play, One on One, to be staged on November 17. It is a set of 10 short plays by nine playwrights and each story is about 10 minutes long.
Kapur, who’s best known for his role as the famous detective Byomkesh Bakshi in the iconic television series, says he doesn’t have the long hours required for TV. “I get offers from television but they ask me to begin shooting within 15 days which is not possible as I have prior commitments. That’s the issue I have with TV, they are not organised.”
Kapur, who will next be seen on the big screen in Sunny Deol’s Singh Saab The Great, says he is looking forward to the big screen adaptation of Byomkesh Bakshi, being helmed by filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee. “Byomkesh Bakshi was a great character that can be adapted in many ways. I am not at all possessive about the character, rather I’m looking forward to how the makers essay him onscreen.”
