He might be teaming up with Kabir Khan in his next film, but Saif Ali Khan doesn’t want to comment on how he thinks the movie will fare at the box office. Remind him of Kabir’s previous film (Ek Tha Tiger; 2012) raking in the big bucks, and the actor says, “I don’t know if Kabir is known to direct films which make that much money or whether Salman Khan is known to act in films that make that much money. They’re two different things, so let’s see.”

So what’s his relationship with Kabir like? Saif says, “He’s absolutely lovely. We have similar tastes but how much money we make is a completely different thing. Someone needs to be filmi in the equation; I don’t think either of us is.”

Interestingly, despite being in the industry for so long, Saif says he isn’t sure what actually works at the box office. He says, “I’m constantly confused about what works. He (Kabir) is of the opinion that the Indian multiplex audiences have changed and matured; now we don’t necessarily need to have lip-synced songs. Our film is a thriller based on the Middle East turmoil and action with a very Homeland (American TV show) feel. I love that. It’s my kind of a movie.”
