He will start work on this film, which is produced by Aditya Chopra, in May 2014. By then, he would have wrapped up the shooting of Farah Khan’s Happy New Year. Soon after, SRK will be seen in Rahul Dholakia’s Raees, which also stars Farhan Akhtar. While the former will play a bootlegger in the movie, the latter will be seen as a policeman. The film’s shooting will begin by mid-next year. SRK is also likely to be part of Rohit Shetty’s new film, which, contrary to rumours, is not a sequel to Chennai Express.
Calling Fan a “challenging” film, SRK recently revealed in an interview that he will take a some time off after Happy New Year.
“(I will) work on that one (Sharma’s film)…(then) there’s another one that I am working on with Mr Dholakia. So I have to sit on that…Rohit’s (next film) and a few more…I have to chat with people and decide because I do one at a time…So I have to find some semblance of time boundness and work on them (sic),” he said.
