While the capital of Jammu and Kashmir — Srinagar — has not seen film releases in years owing to theatres that have been burnt down or shut for good, the makers of Dhoom:3 have reached out to authorities to re-open at least one cinema in the valley, starting from the screening of their flick. .

“We have initiated the process and hope it will happen,” confirms the spokesperson for the makers, Yash Raj Films. The negotiations are believed to have been going on for three-four months.
