PGI Nurses Welfare Association demanded bonus from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) administration here on Thursday.
In a meeting held at the association's office at the PGIMER campus, under the chairmanship of president Lakhvinder Singh, the body said that the administration was acting in insubordination of the orders of government of India regarding the payment of adhoc bonus (non-productivity linked) to non-gazetted employees group B of PGIMER.

Singh said the administration had been informed about all government orders, clarifications etc. in this regard but was not heeding to release the bonus ordered to be paid to non-gazetted group-B employees including assistant nursing superintendents.

A legal notice has already been sent to the administration of PGIMER as well as the ministry but has not been answered yet.
