The Patiala district administration has started SMS services to provide information to people regarding the status of their work file under the right to service Act. The New Year gift from the district administration will surely help beneficiaries to get complete information right from submitting application till the completion of their work. The beneficiaries can also get status information of their respective work through internet accessing www.suwidhaonline.punjab.gov.in

Inaugurating new counters at Suvidha centre, Patiala deputy commissioner G K Singh said that the SMS service will not only ease process for the beneficiaries availing services under the RTS act but also help to ensure transparency in giving services to the people.

"The new system will also help to strictly ensure to do respective works within stipulated time as mentioned under the Act", DC said.

He informed that 20 new counters had been opened on Wednesday to provide better services and to avoid chaos at suvidha centre.

Two special counters have been set up for assisting visitors in filling application forms, for the scrutiny of forms and particulars and four dedicated counters for making Aadhar cards are also set up, he informed.

He directed the officials to spread awareness in the rural areas so that maximum people came to know about the services provided under the act .He also instructed officials to ensure the proper implementation of the act.
