The protest in Bathinda was mainly centered at two points, the Bathinda-Mansa railways over-bridge and the main road near the Bathinda-Chandigarh national highway near Rampura.
Former MLA Harmander Jassi blocked the railway over-bridge, but reportedly allowed two ends to remain open for the public. Faridkot district congress president and MAL Jaitu Joginder Singh, congress general secretary Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon and supporters blocked Kotkapura-Faridkot highway for about two hours. The former congress president Surinder Gupta was present during the Chakka Jam. The police had to divert the traffic from Kotkapura to Faridkot via Faridkot Chahal link road for two hours.
Firozpur Congress leaders including its District Chief Chamkaur Singh Dhindsa, Former minister Inderjit Singh Zira, Anumeet Hira Sodhi, Satkar Kaur and Naresh Sharma addressed the gathering at local Octori number 7. Protesters ceased the traffic on all entry point to Ferozepur which badly affect the flow of traffic.
