Singh is expected to leave for Naypyidaw, Myanmar on March 2 for the summit. Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bhutan and Nepal are the members of the grouping.
He will also have a bilateral meeting with Myanmar leadership which could pave the way for signing of the border security pact between the two countries. Though New Delhi has already cleared the pact, the Myanmar parliament is yet to clear it clear it.
The trip could be the last for Singh as the Prime Minister, who has indicated that he is not interested in a third term even if the Congress musters the numbers to form government. Though Singh has already indicated his plans for a trip to Pakistan, there is no forward movement on it yet, sources said.
