Khaira said Badal should not maintain double standards over the killings of innocents, whether it was in 1984 in Delhi or in 2002 in Gujarat.
Khaira said the criticism of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots was welcome if it came from independent and right quarters; he questioned Badal's "silence" over thousands of innocents, especially Hindus, killed by militants during terrorism.
Khaira asked Badal as to why he and his party remained mute spectators and maintained silence over the killings of over 25,000 innocents, especially Hindus, during terrorism.
He said that on the contrary, Badal and his colleagues attended the bhog ceremonies of slain terrorists rather than condemning the killings of innocents in Punjab.
"Were these thousands of innocents killed during terrorism any lesser human beings, that deserved no condemnation by senior leaders such as Badal," asked Khaira.
