A court in Panaji on Monday extended Tehelka editor-in-chief Tarun Tejpal's judicial remand by 14 more days. Tejpal, one of India's well-known journalists, has already approached the Bombay high court for bail. He was arrested in November for allegedly sexually assaulting a junior colleague during a conference at a Goa resort in November last year.

He has since spent more than two months incarcerated in police as well judicial custody.

Tejpal is at present lodged at Sada sub-jail located at Vasco, 35 km from Panaji.
