Natalie Portman accused of 'foreign invasion' for filming in Israel
Natalie Portman has been accused of starting a 'foreign invasion' by ultra-Orthodox residents of a neighbourhood in Jerusalem. The Oscar-winning actress, who is planning to shoot her directorial debut A Tale Of Love And Darkness in Israel, is facing protests from ultra-Orthodox residents, Sky News reported.
According to the Times Of Israel, the Jewish protesters are angry as the film shooting is set to take place on several sensitive streets close to synagogues and yeshivas, and they claim that the scenes being filmed should have been examined first to make sure they don't offend anybody's sensitivities.
