What were the high points of your five-year term?
I effectively represented aspirations of the people of J&K on the floor of the House. I highlighted issues related to unemployment and tourism in the state, besides harassment being faced by Kashmiri students across the country. I have wanted an employment package for the educated/uneducated youth of Anantnag. Perhaps, the central government got occupied with other issues and could not attend to this burning issue.

Would you like to contest again, and why should the people re-elect you?
Definitely so. People should re-elect me in view of my performance in Parliament, bringing to the fore key issues/problems of my constituents and optimum utilisation of MPLAD (local area development) funds.

How has been your experience in Parliament that witnessed highest-ever number of disruptions and wasted hours?
Despite the unfortunate disruptions, it has been a very good experience. We did manage to push through some historic legislations and I was successful in bringing before Parliament issues of my state/constituency, which has been satisfying.
