The third showcase of Day1, Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, saw creations by designers Kiran Uttam Ghosh and Raakesh Agarvwal. Raakesh Agarvwal
A collection which seemed to be a dominatrix, leather and chainmail laden tribute to design, by Agarvwal. Complete with neck braces, dangerously high boots and metal arm candy, the collection was Fifty Shades of bold and high on metallic dazzlers.

From costume swimsuits to couture gowns, the only limitation seemed the defiance of prêt-code and being season confused. So bogged down by one of the dresses, a model just smiled at the crowds and then turned back immediately, as she could ot walk at all!

Kiran Uttam Ghosh
Muted tones, rose golds and layering stood out at Ghosh’s show. The collection saw capelet-style exaggerated jackets, sheer overlays and interesting separates.

While a part of the audience spoke about the déjà vu factor, others seemed to dig the overall look, with the fierce hair and the avant-garde, contemporary maang teeka adding a fresh dimension to the showcase. It was also the first time since the start of the edition that runway-favourite, model Carol Gracias was spotted on the ramp.
