Signature sari gowns, cocktail-perfect Venetian red dresses and separates cinched at the waist were a part of the collection. It was also the first, and the only time during the course of the entire day that we got to see menswear on the ramp.
The gilded pocket squares accessorized with the bandhgala jackets caught our eye. We also loved the footwear that seemed to be adorned with whimsical, laser-cut like intricate work. T
he same goes for modified Victorian evening gloves that adorned the hands of the models, that added the right amount of ‘vintage’ to the collection. The contemporisation of ethnicwear seemed to be the aim here, as the collection saw a balance — with ethnic silhouettes put together with western-wear sensibilities.
