"There is no chance of any post-poll alliance with the BJP," he added.
BJD earlier had an alliance with the BJP both at the centre as well as the state but Patnaik snapped ties with the saffron party before the 2009 Lok Sabha and Odisha assembly polls. Odisha has 21 Lok Sabha and the BJD is the dominant political force.
Patnaik's remarks perhaps end the speculations after he refused to line up in the 'Third' Front of non-BJP and non-Congress parties. In the rally, he slammed both the BJP and the Congress as "migratory birds" in Odisha. "I am confident of winning as I have done lot of development work in Odisha especially in building roads, power supply, and providing cheap rice to BPL families," Patnaik told HT.
