Salim, who in a recent interview to a TV channel, had spoken in support of BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, also trashes any possibility of campaigning for Modi.
“I won’t campaign for anybody. Arrey, main apne ghar pe nahin khada ho pa raha hoon main kisi aur ke liye kya khada hounga? (I am not able to stand up at my own house, how am I to stand up for someone else?)” laughs the septuagenarian, who was recently diagnosed with malaria.
Prod him on his son, actor Salman Khan’s marriage plans, and he cheekily replies, “Woh toh allah miyan bhi nahin bataa sakte ki uski shaadi kab hogi! We can’t control life events. I’ve made his kundli, consulted other astrologers, too… he has an unusual life pattern with lot of ups and downs, and well, no signs of marriage yet.”
