Modi, who led the BJP from the front to win 282 of the 543 seats, also advised his party colleagues to act as a medium between the party and the people.
"There should be coordination between the government and the party. See to it that concerns of BJP workers are addressed," Modi told BJP general secretaries at a meeting.

Later this year, assembly elections will be held in Haryana, where the party won seven of the 10 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, and Maharashtra, which gave the BJP 23 of the 48 seats in the state.
BJP general secretary and Sultanpur MP Varun Gandhi tweeted after the meeting: "Inspired by motivational message from Hon'ble PM Shri @narendramodi ji, at a meeting with party GS, to serve party and nation with renewed vigour."
It was the first such meeting called by Modi after he took charge as the Prime Minister on Monday.
Modi is also scheduled to meet more party workers and leaders at the BJP headquarters on Ashoka Road on Sunday evening to connect with them and thank them for their efforts in ensuring the BJP's victory.
During the meeting, it was also discussed as to what mechanism the BJP should adopt to accommodate suggestions from common people and supporters in the decision-making process of the government for effective and good governance.
A senior BJP leader said the aim was to keep the party vibrant and not to let the guard down after the emphatic victory.
