Jayalalithaa, who boycotted Modi cabinet’s swearing-in as a protest against presence of Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa, is scheduled to meet the PM on June 3 and submit a memorandum detailing Tamil Nadu wish list. She is also to seek facilitation of adequate power supply for her state by strengthening the distribution network.
Expectations are high in Tamil Nadu that the new NDA led government at the Centre would act decisively on the issue, Jayalalithaa said.

Hitting out against the diesel price hike of 0.50 paise per litre, the CM said people who expected a change with the change in government at the Centre were disappointed and also demanded a roll back of the price hike that went into effect from Saturday midnight.
