The details of courses and subjects available in government schools, besides admission schedule and procedure are available in the prospectus. Students need to fill up the admission form and submit it by June 20 before 1pm in any of the above six schools.
Registration form can also be filled up online at chdeducation.gov.in. Those filling up the form online are required to take its printout and deposit it in the above-mentioned schools, along with Rs. 130 by June 20.
An official of the education de par tment said, “Only one registration form is to be filled up by the candidate seeking admission to Class 11 in any government school, along with preference of school and stream in relevant columns. A candidate can fill up the codes of 15 government schools and streams of his choice in the registration form in the order of preference.”
The department will upload the common merit list and other particulars of all candidates at chdeducation.gov.in for verification purpose on June 27. If any student has any objection regarding their particulars, they can get it corrected by visiting the GMSSS, Sectors 16 and 19, by June 28 up to 2 pm.
The list indicating the allotment of school and stream will be displayed on July 1 and the classes will be start from July 4.
In case seats are left vacant, the department will hold another round of counselling in the last week of the July.
The education department has appointed 14 officials to guide parents and candidates for any enquiry or clarification regarding admission to Class 11. Their contact numbers are available at the department’s website.
