Salman Khan chases record with Kick
Action movies have long relied on chase sequences to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. From car chases to ones on foot, Bollywood’s action heroes have done them all.
And now, Salman Khan is aiming to outrun most such scenes with a long chase sequence in his upcoming film, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick. A source close to the actor says, "In the film, Salman has shot for a long chase sequence, based in Delhi. Right now, this scene clocks in at over four minutes, making it one of the longest sequences in Bollywood films."
The insider adds that other chase scenes in the movie involved many modes of transport — bicycles, motorbikes and even a double-decker bus. However, this one shot in Old Delhi at landmark locations, was more complicated due to the congested and busy location. "It had to be shot in the narrow lanes. It involves complex stunts like Salman doing wheelies and jumping while still riding the bicycle," says the source.
Multiple cameras, set up on rooftops and building terraces, captured different angles of the chase scene.
The film’s team is also aiming to submit the scene for an Indian book of records. When asked about this, director Sajid confirms the news, saying, "It’s a very long sequence and we intend to make an official entry. The process has begun, but we’re focusing more on the release at the moment."
