It highlighted that during the 30-month SP rule, there had been 5148 murders, 1981 rapes, 3927 loot and theft cases, 4787 cases of goondaism and 754 cases of kidnapping. State officials had become puppets of political bosses, kidnapping was an industry in UP and even policemen were being killed, it said. The resolution also targeted the state government on communal riots and said that notorious people were being patronised. "The cases of Kanth, Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar and Faizabad speak volumes about appeasement," it alleged. The political resolution also accused the SP government of being prejudiced after the debacle in parliamentary elections and taking political revenge.
