Reacting to recent reports that the censor board has a problem with the word "virgin" being used in one of Deepika's dialogues in Finding Fanny, the actor said, "I don't think their request is valid and I believe that there's no system to this. Every six months the rules keep changing and what we are allowed to do, what we are not allowed -- there's no consistency to what is being said or what is being done."
Arguing that there's "nothing wrong with the word virgin", Deepika said, "I think you have to see it in the context to the scene, to the film and the larger scheme of things. You can't just pick up one word and we won't allow this! Give us some reasoning, why are you not allowing us to say certain things in a movie or to not show certain things in a movie?"
