Press Trust Of India
June 30, 2004
Model-turned-actress Malaika Arora Khan knows how best to juggle between being a perfect mother and managing her career. She makes sure she spends time with her one-and-a-half-year-old son Arhaan as well as gets time to workout to maintain her hourglass figure. I usually wake up by 8 a.m. and the first couple of hours are spent taking care of household chores as well as getting Arhaan ready for school. After making sure he has had his bath and breakfast, I get him all set for his play school Gymbaroo, which is in Bandra, quite close to where I live. These days I am not allowed to drop him to school as he gets quite cranky and upset. So I make sure I make it up by picking him up in the afternoon.

Once Arhaan and Arbaaz have left, I manage all that has to be done at home. Thursday being the first day of the month means it’s the day of paying salaries. I will clear all the pending cheques and by the time I am done with all this it’s time to pick up my baby.

Lunch will be at home with Arhaan and we will be having simple home-cooked food like vegetables, salad, chicken or whatever is made that day. Post-lunch I will be off for my interviews with the press as I am planning to launch my new show. These meetings will most likely be at home or at any close by hotel.

Hopefully I should finish my meeting with the press by 5 in the evening, just in time to take Arhaan for a walk to the park near our house. If Arbaaz is home by that time we might just go for a swim to get some exercise.

We might just go out for dinner with my sister Amrita and her boyfriend Upen Patel to Olive or probably catch a movie, depending on what everyone wants to do. Hopefully we should be back home by 11.30 and finally hit the sack at 12.
